Northeast Region Fall Board Meeting & Workshops: November 4th & 5th

The Northeast Region Fall Board Meeting &
Workshops will be held on November 4th & 5th at
the Holiday Inn, 2468 NYS Route 414 N, Waterloo, NY
13165. The hotel is located in the picturesque Finger
Lakes Region of Central New York and the Finger
Lakes, fall foliage, vineyards and a gaming casino
are all nearby for your enjoyment.
Who should attend?
Region Board Members, Region Committee Chairs, current & future Chapter Leaders & Chairs and anyone else interested in leadership & membership development as well as Building Information Management (BIM). This is the first of the new workshop formats requested by the chapters and the sessions will not be repeated so we urge you to make every effort to attend.

Friday, November 4th
Breakfast is included for hotel guests
9:00 am to 10:00 am - Richard Totsi, Motivational Speaker on Leadership Excellence
10:00 am to 11:00 am - Overview of Institute's Strategic Plan and how chapters can use it and Institute's new membership programs
11:00 am to 12:00 pm - "Thought Leadership" and Leadership Traits
12:00 pm to 1:00 pm - Lunch included
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Building Information Management Roundtable Discussion
The BIM Roundtable discussion anticipated participants are myself as moderator; Rob Weygant of CSI's BIM Practice Group; A representative of BSD, creators of Speclink-e, and a represntative of Autodesk Revit. We will be exploring the history of BIM, where it is presently and where it can go in the future. This is not intended as just a CEU course for A/E's as we will be discussing opportunities in BIM for manufacturers and contractors as well.

Attendees need to make their hotel reservations prior to October 15th in order to receive the group rate. When making a reservation refer to booking code "CSI". The group rate is $99 per night plus taxes, the Region will reimburse all Region Board Members & Region Committee Chairs for their expenses in accordance with current Region reimbursement policies. There is no charge for others to attend but they will not be reimbursed for their expenses; however lunch will be provided on Friday so please RSVP to the Region Treasurer, Roland Barrett at barrettr@comcast.net if you will not be making a reservation at the hotel.
