Specifications Writer Needed

H2M, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm based in Melville, NY seeks a licensed professional with 10 years of technical specification writing experience to develop, edit and maintain architectural and engineering specifications for a variety of projects. Core responsibilities include producing full design phase deliverables including complete specifications, creating and assembling documents as required for production and public or private bidding. Ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of multi-discipline practices required to execute small and large scale projects including architectural, structural, civil, survey, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, water resource and wastewater engineering. Additionally a broad understanding with regards to developing specifications for various types of private, federal, state or locally funded projects, along with required front end documents is preferred. The successful candidate will have a highly organized professional with demonstrated specifications work history and excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience with CSI specification formats is required. Familiarity with MasterSpec, E-Specs, and/or Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) is ideal.
